Guests from University of Strathclyde, UK Visited SDNU


On April 4th, Professor Douglas Brodie, Vice President of University of Strathclyde and Director of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences , UK, came to SDNU for an exchange visit. Vice President Wan Guangxia welcomed the visitors in Qianfoshan Campus.Both sides reviewed the joint efforts and cooperative achievements of the two universities, and reached agreement on promoting international joint training of "3+1" undergraduate students of law major in the future, conducting academic visits and jointly organizing international conferences.

Wan Guangxia warmly welcomed Douglas Brodie. He said that since the establishment of the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two universities in 2016, the cooperation has been deepening.Both sides have made great efforts to find common interests and actively carry out substantive exchanges at all levels, especially in the fields of humanities and social sciences. Wan Guangxia emphasized that SDNU is currently focusing on the development of international education, attaching great importance to exchanges and cooperation with high-level friendly overseas universities such as the University of Strathclyde. He hoped that both sides would not only promote the smooth development of existing projects as soon as possible, but also prepare for more comprehensive and in-depth substantive exchanges. He firmly believed that with the joint efforts of the two universities, more fruitful exchanges will be achieved in the future.

Douglas Brodie thanked SDNU for the warm hospitality. He affirmed and praised the positive attitude and progress of the cooperation between the two sides,he agreed with Wan Guangxia's view on the internationalization of higher education, and expressed that he would continue to expand the existing exchanges between teachers and students, and take this as a breakthrough, spare no effort to deepen the substantive cooperation between the two sides at the academic and scientific levels.
