1. A Teacher Won First Prize in the 6th National College Youth Teacher Teaching Competition
On April 24th, the 6th National College Youth Teacher Teaching Competition was held in Tsinghua University. Zhou Feng, a teacher from the School of Mathematics and Statistics, won the first prize in the science group, achieving a breakthrough in SDNU's first prize in the national youth teacher teaching competition, and also achieving the best performance in Shandong Province's universities over the years.
2. SDNU Has Won the First Place in the Annual Performance Evaluation for High-quality Development of Undergraduate Universities in Shandong Province for 3 Consecutive Years
In May, the Office of the Leading Group for the Evaluation Work of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China announced the results of the 2022 high-quality development performance evaluation for provincial-level undergraduate universities. SDNU ranked first in the 2022 high-quality development performance evaluation for first-class universities (doctoral degree authorized universities), achieving the goal of being excellent four times and winning three consecutive championships.

On November 27th, the establishment ceremony of the New Structural Industry Development Research Institute of Shandong Normal University was held at the Qianfoshan Campus. In December, Professor Sun Jiande from the School of Information Science and Engineering was successfully approved the "Key Technology Research on Collaborative Optimization of 'Vehicle Road Network' for Intelligent Situation Awareness of Urban Transportation" as a key special project of the National Key Research and Development Plan for Strategic Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation. This is the first time that SDDU has been approved as the leading unit of a project, achieving a new breakthrough in this type of national key research and development plan project
